Our new joint initiative with the Biochemical Journal aims to help PhD students and post-doctoral students gain the edge in scientific publishing. The one day workshop is the first in a series of activities to support students and early career researchers in the sector with their professional development and career.
The workshop aims to provide attendees with the tools to structure papers, review papers written by others, help understand the peer review process and ethics in publishing, and provide information on current topical issues in scholarly publishing.
Topics covered include: structuring a paper, open access, peer review, ethics for reviewers. The workshop will also include:
- An interactive workshop on reviewing papers
- An opportunity to meet the professionals
- Networking and refreshments
