73rd Harden conference and Regulation of protein trafficking and function by palmitoylation
19-23 August and 23-25 August 2012, St. Anne’s College, Oxford, United Kingdom
The 73rd Harden conference comprised five days’ worth of exciting science and included The 1st RSC Nucleic Acids Group Michael J. Gait Lecture by Steve Kowalczykowski and Biochemical Society, Early Career Research Award by Vidya Chandran. The social programme matched the science and was made up of drinks receptions, punting in the sunshine and a pub crawl of historic Oxford pubs.
The focused meeting entitled ‘Regulation of protein trafficking and function by palmitoylation’ followed directly after the Harden Conference and was a huge success. The science programme also included the Morton Lecture given by Kai Simons. Along with the enthusiastic poster sessions and engaging lectures the delegates got involved in a challenging but fun pub quiz on the first evening and a drinks reception and conference dinner on the final evening.
If you attended either of these conferences, let us know your feedback.
