The aim of these workshops is to offer the scientific community a collaborative forum for fruitful engagements. Often the topic is chosen to bring together scientists from different disciplines to work together on specific methods or techniques used across a variety of research settings.
Over the years we have seen an increase in the number of applications for our workshops, and the feedback suggests that attendees value the training aspect of these types of events. Recently we have made it possible for attendees to apply for Continuing Professional Development credits, offering even more benefits to the attendees.
In 2012, the Society has a budget in place to organize another two workshops, providing travel and accommodation allowances for speakers and organizers, as well as full secretariat support.
