2013: Celebrating Women and the Biochemical Society

In 1913, female biochemists were admitted as full members of the Biochemical Society for the first time. To mark the 100th anniversary, in 2013 the Biochemical Society will celebrate the past, present and future influence of women with interests in the molecular biosciences.

To ensure that the Biochemical Society’s activities are relevant, we are asking the molecular bioscience community (a) what they think the Society should be doing to celebrate the anniversary, and (b) what are the barriers currently facing women in science?
