£100,000 awarded to Summer Vacation Studentships

To celebrate 100 years of the Society in 2011 we have awarded £100,000 towards Summer Vacation Studentships. These grants provide funding for undergraduates to spend 6-8 weeks working in a research lab in their penultimate year of study.

Over the past five years we’ve allocated over £320,000 worth of support, enabling over 210 students to benefit from the scheme.

We’ll let you know how they’re getting on in the coming months.

The deadline for 2012 applications will be February 2012. Further information about the scheme can be found on our website.
